[ There's a dreadlocked face on the screen, pushing thick cat eye glasses up to the bridge of her nose as she smiles a crooked smile and introduces herself with a small wave. There's a cannula directly attached, looping around her ears and threading somewhere offscreen, but she doesn't seem to pay too much mind to it. ]
Hey, guys and gals. Name's Cosima. Or, I guess, Doctor Niehaus if you're feeling frisky. [ A beat, as she shakes her head minutely. ] Don't feel frisky. I'm not used to being titular.
It's, ehm, well, see, it's come to my attention - obviously, quickly, and incredibly jarringly - that there are a number of differences out and about the ship! Specifically, I'm looking at you all of a different species, or - dare I say as a budding comic book geek with an embarrassingly large collection - superpowers?
[ She bites her lip, eyebrows raising a bit hopefully with her voice in octave as she gets a bit shyer about it, but none the less curious. ]
This is so not one of those automatic, mandatory kind of things, mind, because how douchey would that be? Ten minutes here and making demands. Let's call it an opt-in instead of an opt-out, and if anyone would like to spend a little time talking [ and she coyly cups a hand about her mouth ] or, let's be honest, bragging [ okay the hand is gone ] about what they can do and what their specific abilities might be? That would be -- flipping fantastic.
Thanks, folks.
[ With a thumbs up and a mild clearing of her throat, she cuts the feed. ]

[ Care is the watchword, or at least taking it. Wandering this place should be and is probably quite dangerous, but look at her wandering regardless. She doesn't quite need her cane to walk for the time being, but there is an oxygen tank in hand that she drags nonchalantly behind her, tying not to pay much mind to or to really acknowledge it.
There's a music room on this level, and she full intends to take full advantage of it. That's if she doesn't get over to the art one first. Either way, she'll be toying around with instruments, browsing what music selection they have, anything she can get her hands on. The real fun will come when it gets to getting up to the medical level and seeing inside their infirmary - their lab, perhaps? Where she might be working? That's an exciting concept.
She's heard tale of something else around here, some kind of hologram-initiating system that she's certainly going to want to try out. It's a lot of wandering, but a lot of breaks in between. Leaning against walls, settling herself onto seats - it's tough to get around, but like hell is she not going to explore.
Basically, feel free to meet her anywhere. ]

Some can - really powerful alphas, maybe? I don't really know, I never met one. Well - I met a werecoyote who could, but that was kind of different...
no subject
[ She can't help but give a small bit of a laugh. ]
There's werecoyotes? What else you got brewing over in those uncharted waters, huh?
no subject
Werecoyotes, kanimas, druids, darachs, banshees, kitsunes...
[The nogitsune and the onii are staying off that list.]
no subject
I know what a banshee is, at least? And a druid, I mean, but. Where the hell's this that you've got all this stuff? Another planet?
no subject
[This is the most innocent, puppy like face you could have have deadpanning you a line like this.]
Beacon Hills, California.
[It's a nexus of awful. He has no idea what a nexus is.]
no subject
[ That sounds made up. But he seems so earnest and innocent about it. ]
Let me tell you, I'm a San Fran girl? And I have so never gotten to see any of this stuff. Sounds like you guys are hoarding all of it.
no subject
[...]
Actually, that's probably a really bad idea.

[ She pauses, gives Scott a small smile. ]
You like being a werewolf? Or is it just the other stuff that's kinda - getting you down in the presumably dangerous kinda way?
no subject
[Scott you just said you're a werewolf............
He grimaces a little, then shrugs.]
I'd like it better if there weren't other kinds of supernatural....whatevers trying to kill people.
no subject
[ Well, the Barge is crazy.
Maybe Scott's world is too. Her smile goes sympathetic. ]
Some are different than others, then. As in - some - more violent than others? Is that just a personality sort of deal or are certain species just have more of a violent predisposition than others?
no subject
Well it's - a kanima is like a, a werelizard, but not exactly. It's all about revenge, or....more like justice. But sometimes the shape you take reflects who you are. So I guess it's a personality thing, mostly.
I mean, I've known werewolves who killed a lot of people, but I haven't.
no subject
[ Scott, you have no idea how fascinating you are right now, you have no idea. Her smile grows as she regards him. ]
That doesn't surprise me. You seem like one of the good guys.
no subject
Yeah, that's what happened.
[And now a touch bashful. He ducks his head a little.] Thanks. You, uh, you do too?
no subject
I - [ She laughs a little. ] Definitely try.
Do you know anybody here? From back home?
no subject
What about you?
[lbr he is probably faceblind, he will need to see Cosima and Helena right beside each other.]
no subject
[ Maybe that question's a little too excited, she's leaning in and everything. She's just curious. ]
I - Sort of. I know someone here, but I've never actually met her.
no subject
[He's not one hundred percent sure where Lydia stands on the sharing scale, so he doesn't offer up more than that.]
There used to be another werewolf here - not from my, like, universe to whatever. But he's gone, now.
no subject
Did he follow different - like, rules and all that? From you? [ She raises a hand splayed, fingers wiggling thoughtfully as she finds a better way to explain. ] In the movies - sorry, but in the movies when they have werewolves, there's always different nuances. Wolf transformations, types of transformations, [ she gestures towards Scott ] bites having different outcomes.

Smelled like one?
no subject
[ And that is a little dumb, but she grins anyway. ]
I wonder what's the dead giveaway on the whole 'acting like a werewolf' shtick.
no subject
I mean, probably.
[How do more people at home not know...]
